My name is Jaminett Ortiz ~ Welcome to Maddy Moo Creations!  I would like to begin by thanking you for visiting my website. I have been happily married for 8 years to my husband Dan and I have two children Ricky who is 14 and Giana who is 3 years old.

Prior to joining the Maddy Moo team I had worked as an Ophthalmic Technician for almost ten years. I worked full time since I was 19 years old and returned to work 6 weeks after my son was born continuing the same routine.  Soon after my husband and I were married we knew we wanted to have a second child.  The next 5 years would prove to be the hardest five years of our whole lives.  After suffering the heartbreak of five miscarriages we were finally blessed with our daughter Giana.  I knew right away that I did not want to miss another day working full time away from home.  This is when my husband and I decided I would leave my job as an Ophthalmic Technician to stay home with our children.

With this decision came the mixed emotions.  Of course I was thrilled to be able to stay home and raise my children, however, being a stay-at-home mom in the world in which we live in today did not allow for me not to work.  So, how do I make up the $45,000.00 a year income that was now gone and still stay home with my children?  I started my own daycare center.  I was able to stay home with my family, drive my son to and from school everyday and watch my daughter sit up alone for the first time, take her first steps ~ the list is endless.  I wouldn’t change it for anything.  Yet being a stay-at-home mother who runs her own daycare didn’t come without its challenges and of course did not come remotely close to supplementing that income I had lost.

Then on April 25th, 2009 I attended my first Maddy Moo purse party and since that day I have been encouraged (almost daily) to become a Maddy Moo consultant.  I tried working as a waitress which meant leaving my family on beautiful summer days and working 9 – 10 hours only making an extra $100.00 a week.  Finally, I made the decision to become a Maddy Moo consultant and at my launch party made more money in an hour and a half then I did working 9 hours as a waitress. The decision was a long one for me to make but now I realize it was the best move I ever made.  Since my launch party I have 6 parties booked and so many questions being asked about this “Maddy Moo” as people call it.  It’s a wonderful, new and exciting part of my life that I can not wait to explore!

I hope that in reading my story you are encouraged to take the steps in starting your own business and spending more quality time doing the things that are most important to you and your family.  It may take you a long time to the leap of faith needed to take your career into your own hands, but once you do it, it will be the best decision you have ever made.

Sincerely,

Jaminett Ortiz
